Brent Bel, Sunset On The Water, & The BEST Fireworks Show!
by Shane Michael · 7/4/2026

This year's party, hosted by Maria Katris, was awesome. The place was packed, the patio was full, and boats covered Lake Winnebago as everyone waited for the fireworks.
Every July 3rd, you'll find Jaci and me out at Sunset On The Water. It's become one of our favorite traditions because it's just a fun night to be out in Fond du Lac. We love getting there early, grabbing some food and drinks, listening to the live music, and just hanging out by the lake. You always run into people you know, and it's one of those events that feels like the whole community comes together to kick off the Fourth of July.
This year's party, hosted by Maria Katris, was awesome. The place was packed, the patio was full, and boats covered Lake Winnebago as everyone waited for the fireworks. Brent Bell and the Boys put on a great show and kept the crowd going all night. Looking around, it was hard not to notice how many people were smiling, dancing, and just enjoying a perfect summer evening. Nights like this are a big reason why I love living in Fond du Lac.
I also want to give a shoutout to Jeff Montsma for putting on another incredible fireworks show. A lot of people probably don't realize how much work goes into making something like that happen, but it's one of the highlights of the summer every year. Seeing the fireworks light up the sky over Lake Winnebago is something I'll never get tired of watching. Thanks to Maria, Jeff, and everyone who helped make the night happen. We'll definitely be back again next July 3rd.
