I Love FDL Bingo — Official Rules

1. Free to play

I Love FDL Bingo is completely free to play. No purchase, payment, donation, or entry fee is required to participate or to win. All you need is a free I Love FDL account.

2. No purchase necessary

You are not required to buy anything from I Love FDL or from any participating business. Visiting a participating business, redeeming a coupon, or making a purchase does not increase your chances of winning and is never required to stamp a square.

Businesses may pay us to appear on a Bingo card. That is an advertising arrangement between us and them. It has no bearing on who wins, and players never contribute money toward a prize.

3. Who can enter

• You must be 18 or older and a legal resident of the United States.
• Employees, contractors, and immediate family or household members of I Love Local LLC are not eligible.
• Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
• We do not ask your age when you register, so entering is your confirmation that you meet these requirements. We may ask you to confirm them before awarding a prize.

4. How to play

• Each player gets one 5×5 Bingo card holding 24 participating local businesses plus a FREE centre square, which counts as already stamped.
• One participating business is selected as the daily pick shortly after midnight, Central Time, each day of the round.
• If that business appears on your card, you may stamp it while it is the active daily pick. You do not need to visit the business, buy anything, or redeem anything.
• Businesses are drawn at random, and every business in the pool is drawn once before any is drawn again. Once all have been drawn, repeats can occur.
• Keep collecting stamps until you complete a line. There are 12 winning lines: any full row, any full column, or either diagonal. The FREE centre counts toward any line it sits on.

5. The stamping window

• A daily pick can be stamped from when it appears, shortly after midnight, until 11:59:59 PM Central Time that same day.
• Missed stamps cannot be added later. Once the day ends, that pick is gone.
• If the same business is drawn again later in the round and you still have it unstamped, you get another chance at it.
• If you join partway through a round, your new card is built to include that day’s business, so you are not shut out of the day you signed up.

6. Claiming a Bingo

• When you have a line, submit your card using the Claim button on the Bingo card in the I Love FDL app or website.
• Every claim is verified before a winner is declared.
• If a claim is rejected, we will tell you why — and you may submit another claim while the round is still open.

7. First verified winner

Unless a particular round says otherwise, claims are reviewed in the order they were submitted, and the first valid claim we verify wins. There is one winner per round. When a winner is confirmed, any other claims still awaiting review are closed.

Odds depend on how many people enter and how quickly cards are completed, which we cannot know in advance.

8. Prizes

• The prize varies by round and is published with that round on the page where you play it.
• Prizes are provided by I Love Local LLC and/or participating sponsors. Players do not contribute money toward any prize.
• Prizes are not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash unless we say otherwise. We may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the one described becomes unavailable.

9. Collecting your prize

• We will contact you using the email address, phone number, or in-app messages attached to your account — so keep those current, and check your spam folder.
• Winners must collect the prize in person at the pickup location we give you. Prizes are not mailed, shipped, or released to anyone else on your behalf.
• You may be asked for identification confirming you are the account holder.
• You have 14 days from the date we notify you to collect. After that the prize is forfeit. If something makes that impossible, tell us before the 14 days are up and we will work with you.

10. Your name is shown to other players

When a round is won, the winner’s account display name appears on that Bingo card for everyone else signed in and playing. If you would rather that not be your full name, change the name on your account before entering. We will ask you separately before using your name, photo, or words in any other promotion or publication.

11. Taxes are yours

The value of any prize may be taxable income to you, and paying any tax owed on it is your responsibility. If the value of a prize requires it, we may need your legal name, address, and taxpayer identification number before we can hand it over, and we cannot award the prize without them.

12. One account per person

Each person may hold one player account and one card per round. Creating extra accounts, or otherwise trying to obtain additional cards, may result in disqualification.

13. Fair play

Any attempt to manipulate the game, falsely stamp a square, alter a card, exploit a technical fault, create fraudulent accounts, or otherwise cheat may result in immediate disqualification. We may verify the identity and eligibility of any potential winner before awarding a prize, and may disqualify anyone who breaks these rules, gives false information, or interferes with the fair running of the game.

14. Technical problems and changes to a round

I Love FDL is not responsible for internet outages, device problems, app or website interruptions, delayed notifications, or other issues outside our reasonable control.

If a technical fault, tampering, fraud, or anything else outside our reasonable control affects the integrity of a round, we may pause, cancel, restart, replace a daily pick, or otherwise correct that round in a fair manner. Where a round is cancelled before a winner is verified, no prize is awarded — entry is free, so no entrant is out of pocket.

15. Business coupons and offers

Participating businesses may offer optional coupons, discounts, or promotions through their Bingo squares. Those offers are entirely separate from playing or winning. No purchase and no coupon redemption is ever required to stamp a square or win a prize.

16. Not sponsored by Apple or Google

This promotion is run solely by I Love Local LLC. It is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Apple Inc. or Google LLC, including where you are playing inside our iOS or Android app.

17. Changes to these rules

We may update these rules when necessary. Any material change affecting a round already under way will be communicated to players. Where these rules differ from our general Terms of Service, these rules control for I Love FDL Bingo.

18. Governing law

These rules, and any dispute arising from this promotion, are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, and any action shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin — the same as every other part of our Terms of Service.

19. Agreeing to these rules

By entering I Love FDL Bingo you acknowledge and agree to these Official Rules.
