Lately, one of our favorite routines has been grabbing coffee and bagels together at BagelMeister. Jaci and I have found ourselves stopping in more often, slowing things down a bit, and just enjoying a simple start to the day. There is something about walking in, ordering coffee, and knowing exactly what we are getting that feels comforting in the best way. It also helps that the owner, Stacey Gellings, is incredibly kind, and the staff and overall atmosphere always make you feel welcome the moment you walk through the door.
Our go to every single time is the Parmesan bagel with garlic herb cream cheese. It is warm, savory, and hits just right, especially paired with a hot cup of coffee. We usually grab one for each of us, then head straight for the comfy couches by the front window. It has quietly become our spot.
From there, we sip our coffee, eat our bagels, and watch Main Street. Cars roll past, people walk in and out of shops, and the morning just kind of unfolds in front of you. It is nothing fancy, and that is exactly why we love it. Just good coffee, great bagels, friendly faces, and a moment to sit together and enjoy downtown Fond du Lac doing its thing.
