A unique event is coming to Fond du Lac – the first-ever Dinner in the Dark, giving residents the chance to experience what life is like for someone who is blind or visually impaired. The event takes place April 10 at Avenue 795, and tickets have been reduced to just $40 each. Guests will choose between a stuffed haddock or stuffed chicken dinner while learning more about blindness, guide dogs, and everyday challenges and triumphs of those living without sight. Attendees will also have the chance to meet incredible guide dogs and visually impaired individuals from across the United States.
The experience continues the following day, April 11, from 1 PM to 9 PM with live music, blindfolded bean bag toss, educational opportunities, and resources shared by Leader Dogs for the Blind. There is no cover charge for the April 11 event, and raffle tickets purchased on April 10 will be pulled at 7 PM the next evening. Whether you’re coming for the dinner, the fun activities, or to learn more about guide dog programs, organizers are hoping for a great turnout and community support. Grab your ticket, bring a friend, and help support a powerful cause right here in Fond du Lac.
