Fondy Swim Club: Builds Strong Swimmers, And Stronger People
by Shane Michael · 7/24/2026

Fondy Swim Club gives swimmers of all skill levels the opportunity to build confidence, improve their competitive swimming skills, and be part of a supportive team environment. With year-round training, exciting competitions, and open tryouts this fall, it's a great opportunity for young athletes to dive into the sport.
During the summer, many families head to beaches, lakes and backyard pools to cool off and have fun. For Fondy Swim Club swimmers, the pool is also a place to build confidence, learn perseverance, and develop lifelong skills. We teach competitive swimming while encouraging athletes to try new things, work through challenges, and never give up.
Fondy Swim Club is Fond du Lac’s year-round competitive swim team. Swimmers begin with a tryout and are placed in the appropriate training group. New swimmers typically start in our beginner groups, where they learn the fundamentals of competitive swimming, stroke technique, legal racing strokes, endurance, and skills needed to compete with confidence. As swimmers grow, they have the opportunity to advance into other groups, where training continues to build speed, endurance, and competitive experience.
Throughout the year, swimmers compete at meets across Wisconsin. One of the highlights of the summer season is the Save Our Swim Hole Meet (SOS), hosted right here in Fond du lac at Taylor Park. Taylor Park is home to one of the few outdoor, 50 meter competitive pools in the area. The same length used in Olympic competition! Since 2011, the Save Our Swim Hole Meet has welcomed over 100s of swimmers from surrounding communities, bringing exciting competition and showcasing local talent.
Whether a swimmer dreams of standing on the podium or simply wants to become more confident in the water, Fondy Swim Club offers a supportive environment where every athlete can grow.
Interested in joining? Fondy Swim club will be having our first ever open tryouts for the upcoming fall season! Tryout day will be held on Thursday, September 17th at 5:30pm at the Fond du lac Aquatic Center. We hope to see you there!
