Nourishing the Body, Supporting the Mind at Honey & Sage Healing

Discover how Honey & Sage Healing brings acupuncture, cupping, nutrition, Emotion Code, red light therapy sauna sessions, and traditional Chinese medicine together, offering the Fond du Lac community a variety of approaches to whole-person wellness.

What if finding balance began with looking at the body as a whole, rather than focusing on individual symptoms? At Honey & Sage Healing in Fond du Lac, Dr. Carlene Janssen brings together traditional Chinese medicine, nutrition, and complementary healing practices to offer a more integrative approach to wellness. Her interest in healthcare began at a young age, eventually leading her from conventional medical training toward acupuncture and Chinese medicine. With a background in nutrition and a Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, Carlene offers a perspective that recognizes how our physical health, emotional experiences, and everyday choices can influence our overall well-being.

Acupuncture is one of the foundations of Honey & Sage Healing. This ancient practice uses very fine needles placed at specific points on the body and has traditionally been used to support balance and well-being. While many people associate acupuncture with pain relief, it is also explored for concerns such as migraines, digestive discomfort, stress, and other health challenges. Carlene's approach extends into nutrition and traditional Chinese herbal medicine, recognizing that what we eat, how we nourish ourselves, and our daily habits can play meaningful roles in how we feel. Nutrition becomes another opportunity to support the body from within, creating a connection between the care we receive and the choices we make in everyday life.

Another interesting aspect of Honey & Sage Healing is the inclusion of Emotion Code, an energy-based practice centered on the connection between emotional experiences and physical well-being. This approach focuses on identifying and releasing what practitioners describe as trapped emotions, which are believed to develop from past experiences and influence how we feel and respond to life. Alongside Emotion Code, Honey & Sage Healing offers cupping and red light therapy sauna sessions, providing additional opportunities for relaxation, restoration, and physical wellness. Together, these services offer different ways to explore the relationship between our physical health, emotional experiences, and overall sense of balance.

Finding balance looks different for everyone. For some, it begins with physical discomfort; for others, it may involve exploring nutrition, managing stress, or becoming more aware of the connection between their emotions and their bodies. Having access to practitioners like Carlene expands the opportunities available within our community to explore wellness beyond a single approach. Honey & Sage Healing reflects the growing recognition that caring for ourselves can involve nourishing the body, tending to our emotional well-being, and making intentional choices that support our health as a whole. Honey & Sage Healing is located at 719 S. Main Street in Fond du Lac. To learn more about their services or schedule an appointment, visit www.honeyandsagehealing.com.
