If you're looking for something to do today, Walleye Weekend wraps up its final day at Lakeside Park. The festival runs from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., giving families one last chance to enjoy everything that has made this Fond du Lac tradition so popular over the years.
One thing that was cool to see this year was how much there was for kids and families. From the giant sandbox and inflatable village to sports games, animal shows, and the Kids Connection Tent, there were plenty of ways to keep kids busy while parents enjoyed the food, music, and activities throughout the park.
I've always liked that Walleye Weekend isn't just one thing. Some people come for the fishing tournament, others come for the food, and plenty of people just enjoy walking around Lakeside Park and taking in the atmosphere. It really has something for just about everyone.
If you haven't made it down there yet this weekend, today is your last chance before another Walleye Weekend is in the books. It's great to see so many people out enjoying one of Fond du Lac's biggest summer traditions and making memories with family and friends.
