Antique French Burl Walnut Grouse Buffet Sideboard Hunter Grouse / Bird Motif

Turn-of-the-century French sideboard/buffet crafted from carved black walnut with burl walnut veneer accents. Designed in a distinctive “hunter” style, the piece is beautifully detailed with a hand-carved bird (grouse) motif crowning the upper section.

It does have a few condition issues to note. The tabletop shows evidence of past water exposure and has slight warping. Age-appropriate natural wood separation is visible on the upper section. And the left drawer knob is chipped.

Despite these noted imperfections, this piece remains structurally sound and full of character. It would make an exceptional whiskey bar or statement storage piece.
