RARE Vintage Pioneer Stereo Cassette Receiver Model RX-10

Offered for sale is a vintage Pioneer Model RX-10 stereo cassette receiver. Please read the description in its entirety before purchasing. This receiver is being sold strictly AS-IS for parts or repair.

I am not an audio technician or stereo equipment expert, and my testing was very limited. I have described the receiver to the best of my ability based solely on my observations. Please rely on the photos and your own knowledge when evaluating this item.

Testing Performed
-Unit powers on.
-Dial illumination functions.
-Tuning indicator moves normally across the FM dial when the tuning knob is rotated.
-The cassette transport play function mechanically engages and remains latched.
-The cassette motor spins when Play is engaged.
-The cassette transport does not operate because the drive belt is missing (or no longer present), so the tape does not advance.
-During my testing I was unable to receive AM or FM radio stations.
-No audio was produced through the speakers while attempting to tune radio stations.
-The stereo indicator did not illuminate during testing.
-No other functions were tested beyond those described above.

Condition

The receiver is in very nice cosmetic condition overall for its age, showing typical light signs of previous ownership and storage, including light scratches, scuffs, dust, and general age-related wear.

The interior appears clean and original to my untrained eye. I did not observe any obvious burned circuit boards, melted wiring, or visibly exploded/leaking capacitors during my visual inspection. However, I am not qualified to diagnose electronic components, and there may certainly be faults that are not readily visible.
