Vintage WWII 30 Cal Ammo Box Chest US Flaming Bomb Early T4E1 Armored Vehicle
Sold by Brothers Antiques
$110.00
An authentic and early pre-WWII or early WWII T4E1 ammo chest retaining the scarce original off-white/cream color, which were intended for use inside armored vehicles, where lighter-colored interiors made equipment easier to see under low light.
Brown fiber gasket on the underside lid, early drawing number (D 35299), stamped "M".
One of the finer examples I have seen.
Stamped "M" has been hypothesized to represent either the Morton Manufacturing Co. of Chicago or the Milwaukee Stamping Co.
