The Fond du Lac Public Library is inviting the community to dig into a summer full of reading, discovery, and fun with its 2026 Summer Reading Program, "Unearth a Story!" Open to readers of all ages, the program encourages children, teens, and adults to keep turning pages while earning exciting rewards along the way.
Running through August 16, participants can track their reading using the free Beanstack app or by picking up a traditional reading log at the library. Every five hours of reading earns an instant prize, with readers receiving entries into grand prize drawings after reaching 20 hours. Best of all, all reading counts—including reading aloud to children or listening to someone else read.
Beyond the books, the library has packed the summer calendar with engaging activities for every age. From glow-in-the-dark mini golf and bubble science demonstrations to escape rooms, art camps, role-playing workshops, and family programs, there's always something happening to spark imagination and curiosity.
The program is made possible through the generous support of numerous local businesses and organizations, whose sponsorships help provide prizes and experiences that encourage lifelong reading habits.
Whether you're reading your favorite novel, introducing a child to their first chapter book, or exploring a new genre, the Fond du Lac Public Library's Summer Reading Program offers the perfect opportunity to stay engaged, learn something new, and enjoy a season filled with stories.
For more information, program details, and registration, visit the library's Summer Reading page.
