Cars on the Island Returns to Lakeside Park Today July 26th 2026.

Cars on the Island brings hundreds of classic cars, hot rods, and custom vehicles to Lakeside Park for a day of food, music, prizes, and family fun—all while supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fond du Lac County. Whether you're a lifelong car enthusiast or just looking for something fun to do, it's a great way to enjoy a summer Sunday in Fond du Lac.
I have to admit, I’ve never been to Cars on the Island, and I’m definitely not someone who knows a lot about classic cars. That said, I still think it’s a really cool event because it’s a community tradition that brings so many people together. Whether you’re into muscle cars, hot rods, vintage classics, or just enjoy spending a summer day outside, it looks like there’s something for everyone. The event also benefits Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fond du Lac County, which makes it even better.
The show takes place today, Sunday, July 26, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Oven Island in Lakeside Park. People can walk through the show for free, while vehicle owners can register their cars for just $5. Along with hundreds of vehicles, there will be food, music, drinks, 50/50 raffles, and prizes throughout the day. It’s one of those events that’s easy to stop by for an hour or spend the whole afternoon enjoying.
Even if you’re like me and don’t know the difference between a Chevelle and a Charger, it still sounds like a fun way to spend part of your Sunday while supporting a great local cause. If you’ve never checked it out before, this might be the year to see what all the excitement is about. Who knows, you might even find yourself becoming a car fan by the end of the day.
