Theres always been that rumor, that word of mouth talk you hear now and then. Fond du Lac has a hidden Artesian Water Well. We make our way to the East side of Fdl County, going East on Hwy 23 until Triple T Road. We go past residential homes, and farms, and reach N7138 Triple T Road. It's a wooden shack on the side of the road. Inside this wood shack, is a water well, with cold flowing fresh Artesian water.

Although it looks a bit questionable, it is legitimate. The well is tested annually by the DNR and is in good standing. Artesian water is known for its purity, mineral content, and taste. All the well owner asks is a $0.25 donation for every gallon of water you take home. It's an honesty system, with a box on the inside of the shack, so bring your change and bills, as there is no credit card option for payment. The amount paid goes towards the maintenance of the water supply system.
With Artesian water having a higher mineral content than Spring water, especially being free from pollutants and other things Spring water is susceptible to, Artesian water can be known to support bone health, muscle function, detoxification, improved skin health, and in some cases pain relief. Although it's not a cure-all, and varies by person, its something to consider. Who doesn't love ice cold fresh water? Water is a key ingredient in living a better you.
So, grab those quarters, empty jugs, and make your way on the scenic trip to the century old lil' ole shack for some fresh Artesian water! Even on a colder day in Fond du Lac, the water is flowing!
