Fond du Lac Beer Company Brings Oktoberfest Back for a Second Year

Fond du Lac Beer Company is bringing German beer, live music, traditional food, games, and plenty of Oktoberfest fun to its 2nd Annual Oktoberfest on September 19. With live performances, bratwurst, stein-holding competitions, and even lederhosen encouraged, it’s shaping up to be a full day of fun right here in Fond du Lac.

If you like German beer, live music, good food, and an excuse to wear lederhosen, Fond du Lac Beer Company has a pretty fun day planned for September. Their 2nd Annual Oktoberfest is happening Saturday, September 19 from 10 AM to 10 PM at Fond du Lac Beer Company, 21 4th Street. They’re putting together a full day of German beer, food, music, games, and plenty of Oktoberfest fun.

The music starts with Dorf Kapelle from 1–5 PM, bringing traditional German and European folk music with plenty of brass to give the day that real Oktoberfest feel. Then Jay Ollero takes over from 6–9 PM with live music and a little more upbeat energy to keep things going into the evening. If you’re coming hungry, Fond du Lac Beer Company will also have a limited menu featuring popular German foods, plus Eden Meat Market will be there for a brat fry.

Of course, you can’t really have Oktoberfest without a few ridiculous competitions. They’ll have traditional activities including Hammerschlagen, stein holding, and more throughout the celebration. You’ll also be able to purchase a stein that includes your first fill. They’ll have 0.5L steins for $25 and 1.0L steins for $25, with limited quantities available.

I think events like this are a pretty cool way to get out, have some fun, and enjoy something a little different right here in Fond du Lac. If you want to go all out, they’re encouraging everyone to break out the lederhosen and dirndls too. So grab some friends, drink a German beer, eat a brat, and see how long you can hold up a giant stein without your arm giving out. Prost!
