Food Trucks Take Over Lakeside Park This Weekend
by Shane Michael · 5/23/2026

The Fondy Food Truck Festival returns to Lakeside Park this Sunday, bringing food trucks, live music, family activities, and summer energy to one of Fond du Lac’s favorite gathering spots. From incredible local food to running into familiar faces along the lakefront, the event has quickly become one of the city’s best ways to kick off summer together.
The Fondy Food Truck Festival is coming back to Lakeside Park this Sunday from 11AM-5PM, and honestly, it’s one of those events that just screams summer in Fond du Lac. Food trucks all over Oven Island, music playing, people walking around with food, kids running everywhere… it’s just a good vibe all around. It’s crazy how much this event has grown over the last few years too.
I actually ended up going last year because my family was already having a cookout at Lakeside Park that day. We walked over to check the festival out for a bit, and the place was packed. Everywhere you looked there was another truck with people lined up. I ended up grabbing a gyro from one of the food trucks, and I’m not even kidding, it was insanely good. I don’t remember the name of the truck at all, but I remember sitting by the lake eating it thinking how cool it was seeing that many people out enjoying the park together.
That’s honestly my favorite part about events like this. It’s not even just the food. It’s seeing everybody out walking around, hanging out, running into people you know every 5 minutes, and just enjoying the start of summer. Lakeside Park already feels alive this time of year, but events like this make it feel even bigger. Plus there’s live music, bounce houses, face painting, and stuff for families and kids throughout the day too.
I’ve always thought Lakeside Park is one of the biggest staples of Fond du Lac. Whether you’re there to walk the loop, kayak, fish, have a cookout, or just sit by the water, there’s always something going on. The food truck festival just adds another reason for people to get outside and enjoy the community for the day.
