Happy Father's Day!
by Shane Michael · 6/20/2026
Father’s Day is a reminder to slow down and spend time with the people who matter most. Whether it’s a walk through Lakeside Park, a meal at a favorite local spot, or simply sharing stories together, the best Father’s Day memories are often the simplest ones.
Father’s Day is one of those days that reminds us to slow down and spend some time with the people who matter most. Here in Fond du Lac, there are a lot of simple ways to do that. Maybe it’s taking a walk through Lakeside Park, grilling out by the lake, watching the boats on Lake Winnebago, or just sitting on a park bench and catching up with your dad. Sometimes the best memories come from the simplest moments.
If you’re looking to get out of the house, Father’s Day is a great excuse to grab some food together. Maybe it’s a burger and a beer at Fat Joe’s, pizza from Mancino’s, dinner at Sunset Supper Club, or stopping into The Coliseum. It doesn’t really matter where you go. What matters is taking the time to sit down, laugh, tell a few stories, and enjoy each other’s company. Those are the things you’ll remember years from now.
This Father’s Day is a little more special for me because I just had my son a month ago. It’s made me appreciate my own dad even more and realize how fast time goes by. Whether you’re taking your dad to hit a bucket of balls at Rolling Meadows, grabbing lunch somewhere around town, or just spending a few hours together, make the most of it. Fond du Lac is full of great places to make memories, and Father’s Day is a good reminder that time spent with family is always time well spent.
