See Fond du Lac From a Different Angle

Lake Coast Watersports and The Press Box are teaming up this summer to give people a whole new way to experience Fond du Lac—by kayaking the scenic downtown river and ending the adventure with food, drinks, volleyball, and summer fun. From family-friendly paddles to sunset trips and Saturday pub paddles, it’s a laid-back reminder that some of the best adventures are right here in our own backyard.

Most people don’t think of kayaking when they think of downtown Fond du Lac. They probably should. There’s a whole different side of the city out on the water. The river is easy to paddle, scenic, full of wildlife, and somehow makes Fond du Lac feel brand new again.

This summer, Lake Coast Watersports and The Press Box are teaming up to give people a chance to see Fond du Lac in a whole new way: floating down the river with friends and questioning why nobody told them this was in their own backyard the whole time! From paddling under bridges downtown to catching sunset views near Lakeside Park, the river gives you a completely different perspective of the city. You notice wildlife you’ve never seen before. You slow down a little. You take in some pretty incredible scenery hidden in plain sight, then end with food, drinks, volleyball, and summer vibes at The Press Box.

Located just steps from the river, The Press Box is known for its laid-back atmosphere, outdoor volleyball courts, and lively summer crowd—making it a favorite spot for both locals and visitors. Adding kayaking into the mix created something that feels uniquely Fond du Lac. We’re kicking things off on Saturday May 16th with FREE paddling, drink specials and give aways!

We have paddle options to fit everyone, from short family-friendly River Rangers paddles on Wednesday afternoons, to relaxed Sunset Paddles on Thursday evenings, to the Pub Paddles party all day Saturday. We can’t wait to get you out on the water!

Because, the best summer nights aren’t complicated and adventure doesn’t always have to mean traveling far away. Sometimes you just need a kayak, good friends, and realizing your hometown is actually pretty awesome.
