On Saturday, April 11th, Habitat for Humanity of Fond du Lac County hit a big milestone with the groundbreaking of their 36th home build right here in Fond du Lac. From 11AM to Noon, people showed up at 467 Walker Street to be part of it. Volunteers, supporters, and community members all came together to kick things off, and you could just feel that this was more than just another build getting started.

This home is another step in what Habitat has been doing in our area for years, helping families get into homes they can actually afford. The cool part is the homeowner is part of the process too. They put in the work alongside volunteers, which makes it mean a whole lot more at the end of it. It is not just handing someone keys, it is people coming together and building something that lasts.

Stuff like this is a good reminder of what makes Fond du Lac what it is. People show up. Whether that is helping build, donating, or just supporting what they are doing, it all adds up.
