Sean Pruitt Steps Up After Menasha Tornado

After seeing all the destruction from the tornado that hit the Menasha area, Sean Pruitt jumped into action. Sean runs Grooves & Food, an organization built around feeding people and making sure nobody goes hungry. So when all of this went down just up the road from us, Sean started making trips to Menasha to help however he could.

I’ve known Sean for quite a while now, and if you know him, you know this is just the kind of guy he is. He has a huge heart when it comes to helping people, especially when it comes to making sure someone has something to eat. When he sees people struggling, he doesn’t wait around for someone else to do something. He jumps in and figures out a way to help.

A bunch of people from our area also stepped up and donated to help Sean with what he’s doing. Jodi from the Legion Hall, Lori Michelle Barnes, Sarah Cee, Erin Donaldson Lund, Liz Engh, Anna at Wentz on the Lake, Charlene from The Ol’ Bread Box, and Sarah, a manager at Johnson Pick ’n Save all contributed. I love seeing stuff like this because it shows how quickly people around here will come together when somebody needs a hand.

Sean has been helping feed people for a long time, and what he’s doing in Menasha is just another example of the kind of person he is. There are a lot of people dealing with a mess up there right now, and Sean saw an opportunity to do something about it. He loaded up, headed north and helped. Sometimes being a hometown hero really is that simple.
