The Biggest Parade I've Ever Seen in Fond du Lac

Once the parade got going, I was honestly surprised by how long it was. I think it was the biggest parade I've ever seen in Fond du Lac. There were so many floats, marching bands, businesses, community groups, emergency vehicles, and local organizations that it just kept coming.
I spent some time downtown yesterday and started the morning walking through the Farmers Market before heading over to Blue Line Tavern to grab some brunch while we waited for the parade to start. Main Street was packed long before it began. People had lawn chairs set up everywhere, families were finding spots along the sidewalk, and you could tell this was going to be a big one.
Once the parade got going, I was honestly surprised by how long it was. I think it was the biggest parade I've ever seen in Fond du Lac. There were so many floats, marching bands, businesses, community groups, emergency vehicles, and local organizations that it just kept coming. One thing that was cool was seeing how many people came out to support it. Everywhere you looked, people were waving, cheering, and having a good time.
This year's parade celebrated America's 250th anniversary, so there was plenty of red, white, and blue throughout downtown. It's great to see events like this bring so many people into the city. Whether you were downtown for the Farmers Market, stopped into a local business before the parade, or just came to watch from the sidewalk, overall it was an amazing afternoon, and it reminded me how much our community supports local events.
